Enjoy the scriptures along with today's devotional on our thought life - the most private part of you - who are you, really? Today's devotional addresses a lot of the emails that I've been getting lately. I was going to list out the questions here and answer them but the Holy Spirit led me to speak from my heart and be who I am, in Christ Jesus -- Real and transparent. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what god's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~Romans 12:2 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands. ~Psalm 143:5 Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord, but pleasant works are pure. ~Proverbs 15:26 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. ~1 Corinthians 2:16 And He said to him, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' " ~Matthew 22:37 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God's right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. ~Colossians 3:1-4 (First time I ever read this, I cried for I so loved God) Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. ~Proverbs 4:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ~Psalm 139:23-24 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. ~Isaiah 26:3 "The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." ~Luke 6:45 For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. ~Hebrews 4:12 AMEN!!! Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer . ~Psalm 19:14 "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever." ~1 Chronicles 28:9 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. ~Isaiah 55:7 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my mind and my heart. For your lovingkindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth. ~Psalm 26:2-3 (one of my daily scriptures) "I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds." ~Jeremiah 17:10 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, and adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. ~Mark 7:21-23 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. ~Psalm 51:10 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. ~Romans 8:5-6 AMEN Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ... ~2 Corinthians 10:5 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. ~1 Corinthians 13:11 I will meditate on all Your work and muse on Your deeds. ~Psalm 77:12 The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds though Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:7 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness , and all these things will be added to you." ~Matthew 6:33 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. ~Psalm 139:2 Throw off your old evil nature and your former way of Life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. ~Ephesians 4:22-23 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things. ~Philippians 4:8 Comments are closed.
