Daily Devotional - Sin
Let's talk about "Sin". Oh don't run from this topic. Lets be real with one another.... We all are sinners. So now that we got that out of the way, let's dive into the scriptures.....
Much love and blessings to you all.... In Jesus Name.
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense -- Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. ~1 John 2:1-2
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. ~1 Timothy 1:15
Knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.
He has removed our rebellious acts as far away from us as the east is from the west.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by whose stripes you were healed. ~1 Peter 2:24
"Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins." ~Acts 10:43
Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, and You can not look on wickedness with favor. Why do You look with favor on those who deal treacherously? Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up those more righteous than they? ~Habakkuk 1:13
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remembr no more." ~Hebrews 8:12
God's law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful kindness became more abundant. ~Romans 5:20
If we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. ~1 John 1:7
"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as wool." ~Isaiah 1:18
