Daily Devotional - Repentance

7/14/2017

Listen to "Daily Devotional - Repentance" on Spreaker.
Hello beloveds,
Oh let's talk about the subject most have a really hard time admitting and wanting to be forthcoming of.  Especially when we recognize that we've sinned against our heavenly Father and need to ask His forgiveness. "Repentance."   Now go on and read the scriptures and know I share them with the love of Christ. In the name of Jesus. ;-)

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.   ~James 5:16

"But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, nor sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."  ~Job 22:23

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.  ~Matthew 12:31

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart -- these, O God, You will not despise.   ~Psalm 51:17

"But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my laws and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die. All their past sins will be forgotten, and they will live because of the righteous things they have done.  Do you think , asks the Sovereign Lord, that I like to see wicked people die? Of course not! I only want them to turn from their wicked ways and live."
Ezekiel 18:21-23

The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.   ~James 4:8

"God...commands all people everywhere to repent."   ~Acts 17:30

Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?   ~Romans 2:4   (GOOD ONE! AMEN)

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.
~Psalm 34:18

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.   ~Proverbs 28:13

Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake this way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.   ~Isaiah 55:6-7

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanses us from all unrighteousness.   ~1 John 1:9

For they themselves report about us what kind of a perception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.  ~1 Thessalonians 1:9-10

"Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven."  ~Acts 8:22   (YESSSS.... AMEN)

I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord," and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.   ~Psalm 32:5
(Thank you Lord)

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.  ~Joel 2:13

"But at last my people will confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors for betraying me and being hostile toward me.  Finally, when I have given full expression to my hostility and have brought them to the land of their enemies, then at least their disobedient hearts will be humbled, and they will pay for their sins. Then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, with Isaac, and with Abraham, and I will remember the land."   ~Leviticus 26:40-42

"Then he will pray to God, and He will accept him, that he may see His face with joy, and He may restore His righteousness to man."   ~Job 33:26

"So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you."
~Revelations 3:3

Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty; Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense  his trespass with the principle thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.  ~Numbers 5:6-7

Whom may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.  ~Psalm 24:3-5

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"   ~Matthew 3:2

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the resence of the Lord.    ~Acts 3:19

"In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."   ~Luke 15:10
