Daily Devotional - Patience
Wow, the week is almost up. May you all be blessed as you learn or shall I say, yearn for patience. ;-)
Bless you all this evening, in Jesus Name - Amen.
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. ~Hebrews 6:15
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes....For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. ~Psalm 37:7,9
Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. ~Ephesians 4:2
I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. ~Psalm 40:1
Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance....And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and completer, lacking in nothing. ~James 1:3-4
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. ~Revelations 14:12
Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful.
The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
THe discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.
Those who control their anger have great understanding; those with a hasty temper will make mistakes. ~Proverbs 14:29
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. ~Thessalonians 5:14
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. you too be patient, strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. ~James 5:7-8
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
